Just a little evening reading for you...

So the lovely Lois at Carrot Top PR put me onto another wonderful site that I wanted to share with you...Olive and Frank jewellery. http://www.oliveandfrank.co.uk/

Olive and Frank is a collection of contemporary jewellery from independent designers over the world. They represent some fantastic design talents and it's a great platform for jewellery designers as well as those who want to buy something unique and handmade by the designer themselves.

I've had a little browse and they've got some gorgeous pieces so here is a selection of some of my favourites. I would definitely recommend taking a look at the website, great gift ideas or just to spoil yourself!!!

Cuckoo necklace - £26. This has a kind of Tatty Devine feel to it which I love, it's still very much an individual piece but taps into that kind of style which is very popular

Geometric triangle necklace £14 - Love the colours in this, love them all together! And really love the grainy effect, makes it look really authentic

Forget me not bangle £12.95 - I want this!!! Really really like this and I love that they have a cute saying printed on it. It's a saying I would actually want on a piece of jewellery. I like this style of bangle and the saying adds a nice touch.

Oui oui earrings £11.95 - Gotta love a bit of french!! These are ADORABLE!! Another definite on my wishlist for sure!! I think these are really pretty and ladylike and I love that they are gold.

Wooden heart ring £10 - I love the handmade look to this ring, it looks really organic with the wood and hand sewn heart. Really lovely piece :-)

Well that's my little selection hope you like! Definitely check out the site http://www.oliveandfrank.co.uk/

Topshop and Oasis high street styling

Hi Guys!!

So I popped into my local shopping centre today and decided to do an impromptu styling session but it was cut short after two stores because I pulled a muscle in my neck trying on clothes!!! Yes, that really happened. So apologies it's not a long post today, will try and do some more over the next week!

Also, apologies for the picture quality, the batteries on my proper camera ran out so I had to use my phone!!

Oasis
Prices at the bottom of each store section

I like this look for daytime, the black t-shirt tones down the patterned jeans. The necklace is my own and I kept it on as I thought it went well and was just the right amount of jewellery.

A good alternative to the black t-shirt, this top is great for spring and will look great with some denim shorts in the summer. I like the crochet effect, bit more interesting than a plain t-shirt.

I like the effect on this top, which you can see in better detail below. This would also look really good with black skinny jeans and heels for an evening look.

Stick a pair of heels on to give you length as this could make you look quite short. Some ladylike stilettos will finish of this look really nicely.

This skirt is a lot more lemony yellow than it looks in this picture, but I like how the yellow of the skirt brings out the colour of the birds and the flowers in the top. Again, a very ladylike look, a floppy hat would complete the look for an "i'm off for lunch on my yatch" feel!!

The gorgeous scalloped hem means this looks just as beautiful tucked out

I love the colour contrasts in this outfit. This would look great on a tall girl.

Just another variation with this look. A tan belt would finish this off nicely

These jeans are my own (skinny stretch from Gap) and so are my brogues, I just liked how this top looked with the jeans!

Again, my own jeans, liked this for a lunch with the girls look.

Floral Jeans - £48
Bird & Flower Print Vest - £38
Dark Floral Vest - £38
Black T-Shirt - £8 in the sale
Yellow Skirt - £45
Nude & Pink Skirt - £45
White Crochet T-Shirt - £45
Gold Shiny Top - £32

LOVE this outfit!! Apologies for my lovely socks!! It's a great look for a night out and I really like the length of the skirt with the bare midriff as it stops too much flesh being on show!

The waistcoat takes this to more of a daytime look and I love this too! Might have to invest in this outfit on payday!

Love the laid back, boho look of this outfit. My first thought when I saw this vest was Coachella so, for all you going to Coachella hope you like this look!

Again, adding the waistcoat. It's a really versatile look and finishes off so many outfits really well so definitely a good investment

The blazer is my own, it's from Primark and I love it!! Thought it went really well with this playsuit. The playsuit is really short so the blazer made me feel a little more covered up!!

I am definitely getting these jeans!!! They are more green in real life than in this picture and a bit more acid wash looking. I just love this relaxed springtime look and it's so comfortable!

Waistcoat again!! I won't go on about this all over again!

I like the retro 80's feel to this outfit with these colours. I would pop a really loose thin white vest with this as I would never go out with my belly out, I don't exercise enough for that!! Alternatively, a high waisted jersey skirt would look great.

REALLY love this look, I really wanted to buy it! Again, payday wishlist I think. It's just a really easy, comfortable look you can throw on and know will look good

Again, bit too midriff flashing for me personally but I like the look and perhaps with a summer body this would be something I would wear!! High waisted jeans are always a good investment, especially in spring/summer with all those cropped tops and bralets!!

And here's an example of what I was just talking about!

I PROMISE my legs are not that pale in real life!! But anyway, great summer look with a street edge. Although the shorts are reeealy short!!

Leopard Print Bralet - £22
Denim Waistcoat - £35
Gold Skirt - £36
Pink Crochet Vest - £22
Denim Playsuit - £35
Colour Flecked Jumper £36
Pastel Green Jeans - £40
High Waisted Jeans - £40
Pink Shorts - £32
Sports Bra Top - £12

I was looking for work clothes in H&M and just took a pic of a couple of bits that I liked...

Hahahaa, I couldn't be bothered to take my shoes and jeans off!! Love this dress, I saw it a little while ago and went back for it today. It's great for work wear but I would wear it day to day too so it's perfect for me! It come with the belt and I just teamed it with my primark blazer. It's £24.99.

I just really liked this little top. Again, good for work and I would wear it out of work too. Just thought it looked cute with the jeans and brogues :-)

And that's it for today, short and sweet but I hope you enjoy it and more will be coming soon!

High Street Style - Sports

So it seems since I did my sports style photoshoot I've seen about a million things I would have loved to have used. I'm hoping by doing this post I'll get it out my head so please just indulge me!!

Dresses
ASOS £30 (comes in Navy/Lime) - Really like the styling in this. For a super luxe look slick back and straighten the high ponytail, hairspray and pop in a hair cone like this one below:
:

ASOS £35 - Love the simplicity of this piece! Pair with some high tops for a laid back, street look.

Miss Selfridge £37 - I would love to see this with a pair of white trainers and a little denim bomber jacket, think it would look really cute :-)

Miss Selfridge £39 - Super sleek high bun and a pair of killer black heels would look great with this dress on a night out.

Topshop £46 - This would look great dressed up or down with poker straight hair. Thrown on some blocky heels and a short chunky gold necklace for a going out look or wear with high tops for a glam day look.

Jumpsuits/Playsuits

ASOS £38 - I love this!! Bit hard to wear admittedly, unless you're a super stylish gym goer! It would, however, look super hot and different on a night out with loose hair and chunky black wedges. Alternatively stick a chiffon maxi skirt over the top for a floaty contrast, or a fitted mini, trainers and cropped bomber style jacket in keeping with the sporty style!

ASOS £40 - Great for those who love playsuits but don't want to show so much leg! This is a great relaxed daytime look, just stick on some pumps and you're good to go!

River Island £40 - For the girly girls! If you want to work the sports trend but perhaps more subtly this is a good alternative. Embrace the preppy style with crisp white pumps and a cardi or stick a mint green polo shirt underneath!

Skirts/Shorts

ASOS £15 - Liven up a plain mini dress with these poking out underneath for a 90's vibe. Although I do love the way they've been styled here too!

ASOS £24.50 down from £35 - This is definitely a look for taller girls and high heels help to keep the legs looking long in a skirt this length. Love the fluoro piping (this skirt also has a matching blazer). Try adding a cupped leotard to sexy it up a bit or dress it down with a loose fitting t-shirt tucked in and layers of necklaces. Mix and match the colours and lengths to make sure it doesn't look too 'done'

River Island £30 - This is a great colour companion to a sporty top or leotard. It would go well with the Project by Miss Selfridge bralet further below to nail the midriff baring trend seen on the catwalks for S/S '12.

Topshop £24 - For the tomboys and lovers of the 80's and 90's! I love this kind of retro sports style that's making a comeback and I would wear this over something fitted to contrast the loose fit of the shorts. A leotard would be my first choice or ASOS have some great printed swimsuits that would work really well! Alternatively a plain grey marl t-shirt would make a cute cheerleader off duty look! Add some hair accessories to girly it up if you like :-)

Topshop £28 - I'm going to go same as above here!!
Tops

ASOS £28.50 from £36 (also in Pink) - Like how it's styled here with black skinny jeans, leggings would work too. Or pop it over a fitted black vest dress and trainers.

ASOS £28 - Really like this top! It works really well with the pastel trend too so put it with some high waisted, skinny cut-off jeans in a pastel shade for a pretty, ice cream look! A floaty maxi skirt would look equally pretty.

ASOS aertex bomber jacket £55 - I need this jacket, no I actually do. SUCH a nice colour for S/S!! There's so many different ways you could wear this, over a pretty sundress like above (I would leave it open) or over a cropped broderie anglaise vest top and high waisted plazzo pants, or over the first dress on this post, or over a leotard and the cheerleader shorts, the list goes on.....

Miss Selfridge £20 - My immediate thought was dipped hem skirt so i'm going to go with it! Tight high ponytail and big gold hoops for sexy and severe!! Of course some high waisted denim shorts and tennis shoes would look very cute too!

Miss Selfridge £22 - Miss Selfridge always keep me happy with their leotards. They are such a staple for the wardrobe and so handy to have! Really like the criss cross detailing on this. With some acid wash skinny jeans and killer heels this would look great.

Project by Miss Selfridge £18 - See the green skirt further up!! For the brave, pastel skinny jeans and a see-thru loose chiffon top to cover a bit of modesty and this would definitely turn some heads!!

Topshop £16 - Again, two trends in one with the pastel colour! This would look pretty and simple with plain jeans and pumps, sometimes less is more.

Topshop Unique £60 - More cheerleader style!! Slightly fitted maxi skirt or fitted mini to make it look like a dress. Or go all cheerleader with a loose ponytail, a flowery bow and some high waisted pastel skinnies!!

Urban Outfitters £16 - Another good staple to have if you like wearing high waisted stuff. This would look good with the bright leggings and trousers you will see below. Or the grey and fluoro piped pencil skirt above!

Trousers

River Island £10 (also in pink or orange) - Nice and simple, which means you can either add a basic vest or tee or go crazy with a patterned or panelled top!

River Island £28 (also in mint green) - I like these a lot, I think it's because they're retro!! I think they would work really well with killer heels and a cut out leotard (they're not jersey jogging bottoms by the way!!)

Topshop £12 (also in green and yellow) - As with the blue ones, these are just good to have to pair with some of the other pieces i've put here and a good alternative to jeans or black leggings.

Accessories - Just some thoughts of pieces you can use to style up all the above!!

Well that's all folks!! Hope you liked the post. I will be hitting the shops soon to take some pictures of pieces styled up as I know it can get a bit boring just looking at pieces on their own like this! This is just my selection of some great high street options!!
